Sound Editing
One of my jobs as sound editor was to review all of the sounds Elliot recorded over the full day at the yard of the guys working. I picked out all the best parts of sound that included a few sounds of the wheel spinning, a bike pump being used, general sounds of them working using the tools, and riding the bike on the gravel. There were a lot of clean and usual sounds and we all liked the sounds of the wheel spins to use at the start of the documentary. After I reviewed all the audio I put them into ProTools and cut out the parts of audio that weren't needed for the edit. We were left with quite a lot of tracks to choose from and what the editor needed was a short clip that just consisted of a few sounds all at once like wheel spins, chains hitting together and background noise of them working with tools. I chose the three best clips of sound that had quite subtle or no talking in and put them together to export for the beginning of the film.
